Black Farmers Index

Founded By: Kaia Shivers

The Black Farmers Index is an online platform dedicated to showcasing and supporting black farmers across the United States. With a mission to promote diversity and inclusivity in the agricultural industry, this platform serves as a valuable resource for both farmers and consumers.

The Black Farmers Index encourages readers to explore the diverse range of products and services offered by black farmers. From row crop farmers, ranchers, poultry farmers, vegetable and fruit producers, grains and nut harvesters, beekeepers, fisherfolk, oystermen, foresters, foragers, vinters and more, the index provides links and recommendations to connect consumers with over 1200 talented farmers. By supporting black farmers, readers can contribute to the growth and empowerment of this community.

About the Founder

Dr. Shivers, a passionate advocate for black farmers, recognized the need for a centralized platform that celebrates their contributions and provides them with the recognition they deserve. The Black Farmers Index was born out of this vision, aiming to bridge the gap between black farmers and the wider community.
